November 2020

The Mount Lawley Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Craig Hayden as our League Coach for the 2021 season. Craig was previously the Head Coach of the 2019 East Perth WAFL Reserves team, after spending the previous two seasons as a line coach.

Craig has a long and decorated playing career and brings a combined 15 years’ experience as a Head Coach across several clubs and associations. He has won premierships as both a player and coach across his journey. Craig has also previously been President of two Amateur clubs, so has a great understanding of how community clubs work both on and off the field.

Craig’s enthusiasm and passion for coaching and developing players is without question, and is extremely keen to get to work in his new role. Craig has also assembled a team of line coaches who will be joining him for next season: Kim Beasland (Forwards), Robert Williams (Midfield) & David Parker (Backline).

In the Reserves, Damian Cato has been re-appointed and will be looking to build on the promising development and results achieved this year. In a great development for our Ressies, Laurie Hart, who has coached our Colts for the previous 3 years will join Cato as an assistant coach, along with Luke McCulloch who will enter his second season as assistant coach.

After 3 years as an assistant to Laurie, Rob Marrocco will assume the reigns as Colts coach for 2021 with Dave Lyons continuing as assistant coach.

On behalf of the Committee & Members, we would like to welcome Craig, Kim, Robert & David to the Hawks Family. We are very excited and look forward to working closely with you and wish you and the returning coaches all the best for the upcoming season.

We would also like to thank Lindsay Dick for his significant efforts, dedication and commitment as League Coach over the last two seasons. We wish Dicko all the best and hope he can continue to remain involved with our Club in the future.
